Sami Jerkku appointed CEO of Marine Diesel Finland Oy

Sami Jerkku has been appointed as the new CEO of Marine Diesel Finland Oy. He will start in his position on 17.6.2024. In his position, Jerkku wants to further strengthen Marine Diesel Finland’s good reputation and position internationally.

Marine Diesel Finland Oy has appointed Sami Jerkku, MSc. (Econ), as its new CEO. Since 2019, Jerkku has worked as Commercial Director & MD of Kramp Oy in Finland, and has had an extensive career in management positions in international technical trade and mechanical engineering in Finland and England. Jerkku has worked in growth projects such as construction technology at Hilti and forest machines at Normet Group’s subsidiary Farmi Forest.

As CEO, I’ll lead the company into its next phase of growth by actively listening to our customers and aligning our strategy accordingly. Marine Diesel Finland Oy is the largest privately owned Finnish company acting in maintenance, repair and installation of ship diesel engines. As a subsidiary of Wihuri Oy Technical Trade, Marine Diesel Finland is part of the Wihuri Group. Jerkku has previously worked for Technical Trade.
