Marine Diesel is the largest privately owned company in Finland specializing in the installation and maintenance of marine engines and propulsion systems. We operate both domestically and globally, partnering with shipping companies, shipyards as well as defence sector (NATO N-Cage code: A02FG).
Marine Diesel is part of the international Wihuri Group, a family owned 120 years old diversified conglomerate with a turnover of 2.3 billion euros and over 5.600 employees worldwide.
Marine Diesel Finland Oy was established in 1992 and the present number of employees is 51.
We cover leading engine brands, including CAT, John Deere, Wärtsilä, MAN, Pielstick, MaK, MTU, Cummins and Scania. Our expertise also extends to the installation, repair, and maintenance of gearboxes, shaft lines, as well as the installation of propellers and rudders. Additionally, we handle maintenance for Azimuth electric propulsion systems, including serving as an ABB Azipod partner. At shipyards, we operate as a subcontractor in the construction of new ships and maintenance operations for incoming fleet. Quality is our highest priority, and we operate under ISO9001-2015 quality assurance by LRQA.
Additionally we build John Deere generator sets for marine electrical power generation and act as a partner for the Japanese Kemel propeller sealing system manufacturer in Finland.
